Fostering Rigor, Relationships and High Expectations
Wando High School has a rich history of academics, the arts, and athletics. With an ever increasing enrollment and larger campus, our core values remain the same: integrity, academic achievement, and extracurricular participation and success.
Wando High School offers more than 250 courses and encourages differentiated instruction. Our educational program is academically challenging and built on high expectations. We offer a variety of programs: Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, Honors, CTE, and College Preparatory. All of these programs are designed to meet the unique and individual needs and interests of each student.
Student engagement is achieved by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experiences and then exploring new ideas and promoting authentic learning. Wando provides a high school experience that enables our students to be college and career ready while having tremendous opportunities to get involved. With over sixty clubs and organizations on campus, there is truly something for everyone.
We welcome parent and community involvement. We thank our SIC, PTSO, Booster Clubs, parent volunteers, community supporters, and the Town of Mount Pleasant for their continuing support. Please join me in looking forward to and making 2019-2020 a wonderful school year.
