IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT SMAART CAMPS:
Due to uncertainties and concerns with the spread of COVID-19, the District has made the decision to cancel our summer programs scheduled for June 2020. These programs include SMAART Camp. The District may choose to hold alternate programming toward the end of the summer to address making up for lost instruction for students during this second semester. However, these programs will be separate from our cancelled summer instruction.
At this time there is no alternative plan for offering a replacement for our summer programs. However, should this change, your summer program’s coordinator will communicate with you.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding as we work to keep everyone well and safe. Registration and transportation payments that parents/guardians have made for summer programs will be refunded in a timely manner. No action is necessary on your part regarding a refund, as these will be processed as soon as possible. Funds paid online will be refunded to the credit card used to make the payment. Funds paid by check will be refunded by check and mailed to the address on file.
For any questions about this decision, please contact the coordinator of your specific program. Thank you for your interest in our summer programs, and we wish you well during this difficult time.
For any questions about the Summer SMAART Program, please contact the Visual & Performing Arts Office at (843) 937-6423 or email us at Cynthia_Rawls@charleston.k12.sc.us.
