SSOs proactively patrol campuses to identify and address suspicious activity and ensure doors and gates are secure.  SSOs immediately respond to security incidents on campus and provide incident stabilization until law enforcement arrives, if appropriate.  SSOs work closely with the police officers/SROs that regularly check-in on school campuses to address issues collaboratively.
