AP Capstone Student Earns an Outstanding Accomplishment
Wando High School is one of two schools in Charleston County School District to offer the College Board AP Capstone program.
AP Capstone is a diploma program that is based on two year-long AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students' skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting.
We are proud to announce that Wando senior, Isabelle Turner, not only received the top score of a 5 on the AP Research exam, but was also one of only 375 students in the world to earn every point possible, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the exam.
This outstanding accomplishment is likely a direct reflection of the top-quality education being offered at Wando High School. We applaud Isabelle's hard work and her AP Capstone teachers, Mrs. DiAnna Sox and Mrs. Hannah Brisini, responsible for engaging students and enabling them to excel in college-level courses.
