Our Fall sports programs ended their seasons with a bang. Six out of the nine teams participated in 3A region tournaments. Here's the scoop:
Girls Volleyball team - had a spectacular season, finishing the season as region champs, with a region record of 7-1 and an overall record of 25-3 and lower state runner-up in the region 3A playoffs. Senior player, Abby Sutterlin, made the all star team.
Girls Tennis - finished 3rd in the region and 3rd in the region playoffs, led by seniors Mina Schaafsma, Josephine Drake, and Jennifer Hsu.
Josephine and Francis Drake got invited to participate in the 3A singles tournament.
Boys and Girls Cross-Country teams - worked very hard during the season. Their practices were long and tough, but it paid off. The boys finished 2nd in the state and the girls 11th. They were led by Robert Gourdie, Andrew de Arello, and Sully Gholson.
Football team - were outmatched and outnumbered, but our boys fought hard every game. Senior players, Will Jordan, David Roddy, Cade Biting, and Jack Dillard led the team not only with their physical talent, but with leadership on and off the field.
Cheerleaders - With new leadership, the cheerleaders brought lots of spirit and enthusiasm to each game. They used different routines in order to engage the audience; the cheers were fun and entertaining.
Boys’ and Girls’ Swim team - The positive outlook and closeness shared by both teams advanced them to the State swim meet in Columbia. The boys captured the 3A state Runner Up award while the girls finished fourth.
Girls Golf team - was comprised of a fun loving group of players. Our seniors were Sloane Stoklosa, Carson Goodier, and Mia DiPoalo. The girls golf program has improved greatly over the last 3 years. They had a record of 3 wins and 3 losses.
Congratulations to all the student athletes and coaches for a very eventful and successful season.
