A big congratulations goes out to Ms. Adewale, on our fourth grade team! She was voted Stono Park's Teacher of the Year. Ms. Adewale grew up in Aiken, South Carolina and attended South Carolina State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in elementary education. She is in her fifteenth year of teaching and has spent the last two here at Stono Park. She has been a welcome addition to our faculty and always challenges our scholars to meet high expectations. She loves how teaching allows her to touch so many lives in a positive way and enjoys learning and growing right along with her students. She believes that "teaching is more than a profession, it's a ministry." She enjoys fostering engaging conversations with her scholars and creating chanting songs to help them learn and lock in new concepts. A good brain break is just as fun for Ms. Adewale, as it is her students. Outside of school, she keeps busy by enjoying time with her family, going to church and playing tennis.
