Our Mighty Islanders made us proud at the Track and Field State Meet. Our girls finished 2nd in the state with 3 gold medals.
Tylashia Alson, a sophomore, won the 400 meter race with a time of 1:00.91.
Rowen Stroble, a freshman, finished first in the high jump with a height of 4'10".
Tylashia Alson, Hannah Collins, Denazia Sutton, and Daeshia Buford took the gold in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:18.31.
Our Boy's team finished 7th, led by Jayden Judge, a sophomore. Jayden captured the gold in discus with a throw of 138'7'.
Coach Steven Jeffcoat was named the 7A Coach of the Year for Boys track.
