November Teach and Staff Member of the Month

Congratulations to our teacher of the month, Ms. Karle! This teacher exemplifies the 4C's! Read all about how hard she works for her students and the school!

 

Curriculum: Based on walkthough data forms, PLC participation, instruction planning etc.

She is consistently on pacing with the district curriculum guide and utilizes district resources. She teaches open court with fidelity


She accepts feedback appropriately and implements the ideas immediately. She is not afraid to ask questions and is a willing learning when it comes to instructional practices. 

Community: Attend PTO, working with parents, follows directives for parent contact etc. 

The teacher has gone out of the way to help a student whose family was impacted by a house fire. She has worked with Communities in Schools to get them help. She also completes all her parent contact calls for tardies and absences. 

Climate:Who's following PBIS (and uses positive language, targeting monthly behavior etc)

Does a great job with using positive language, even with the students who are having some struggles behaviorally. The teacher accepts feedback and implements it immediately to support students with behavior issues. She works everyday on finding ways to meet the needs of each student.

Culture: Who is contributing to a positive school environment?  Who is on time, shows professionalism through dress, collaboration, working with parents etc?

The teacher arrives to school prepared and ready to teach. She shows professionalism in the way she dresses, treats her colleagues and continually tries to build relationships with parents and students. She contributes to the school environment by being an active member for her grade level team and sharing ideas when possible.

She constantly helps lead instruction within the classroom. With her classroom teacher out on maternity leave, she has become lead instructor in the classroom. She works on lesson planning and ensuring the needs of all students are being met. She pulls students in small groups, pulls students 1:1, and assists with whole group instruction.

Community: Attend PTO, working with parents, follows directives for parent contact etc. 

She is available to assist and speaks with parents when there is a need. 

Climate:Who's following PBIS (and uses positive language, targeting monthly behavior etc)

She is dedicated to helping her students to being acclimated to being at school. She follows all school norms even though she is not the teacher on record. She follows through with positivity with her students and teaches them about logical consequences. 

Culture: Who is contributing to a positive school environment?  Who is on time, shows professionalism through dress, collaboration, working with parents etc?

She always arrives on time, dressed appropriately, follows all school SOP’s and norms when it comes to professional and asking for time off. Her smiles brighten ups every room she walks in. Her positivity towards her colleagues is endless and her dedication to the school is immeasurable.
