Oakland Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Goodale

Congratulations to Ms. Goodale. Oakland's Teacher of the Year! Here is some more information about Mrs. Goodale:

Hi Oakland Families! My name is Mrs. Goodale and I am honored to be Oakland Elementary School's Teacher of the Year this year! This is my second year teaching at Oakland, but it is actually my 6th year teaching 3rd grade! I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and recently received an endorsement to be able to teach Gifted and Talented students! Even though I went to school in the upstate, I grew up in the lowcountry in Charleston, SC and lived here for the majority of my life. I love living in a place with so much history and places to explore which is probably why I encourage my students to get out there and explore too! Even in a school year as interesting as this one has been, I thoroughly enjoy being back in the classroom and seeing my students continue to grow and become better versions of themselves. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings and hopefully one day, our Oakland Elementary School community can be together safely, face to face, without any worries; only smiles!
