PTO Update

Hello Oakland Families!

We hope everyone has had a great first nine weeks of school, whether learning in person, temporary remote, or a combo of both.  Our original PTO board and plan that was in place for this year has been greatly impacted by Covid-19, just as most of us have been.  Thank you for your patience as we have gotten things in order.  Below you will find a link to join the PTO.  In joining the PTO, you may run for a board or committee chair position, as well as help support Oakland Elementary.  
 
Last year, the PTO hosted several fun events including Pastries with Parents, Bingo Night, a family Glow dance, Fun Run, and gave back to the teachers and staff throughout the year. While this year looks different, we are hoping to plan some fun, virtual events with help from you! The school is also planning an outdoor movie night on Friday, November 13 (more details to come). 
 
Here is the link to join the PTO.  It is $10 per student.  
 
The open board and committee chair positions are as follows:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Fundraising Chair
 
Each position may have a co-chair.  Board members will have help from Jordan Neuburger (2019-2020 PTO President) and Madeline Goerhing (2019-2020 Treasurer) should they need/want it. A copy of the PTO bylaws and description of board positions may be found here.  If you are interested in a PTO position, please sign up here.  We need your help to make this a fun and memorable year (other than just Covid) for staff, students, and families!
