On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, NCHS Art Students and faculty had the great opportunity to meet with Craig Conover and Jerry Casselano from Sewing Down South, Alice D. Voss-Kanter, the marketing manager from Bernina USA, and Meg Goodman from Sew & So Podcast. They were very gracious and donated 12 sewing machines to be used for art classes and in the Makerspace area in the media center. The students are so excited to be able to learn and create their own masterpieces. The faculty is excited to collaborate in order to create lessons that incorporate sewing. NCHS Art students are looking forward to the future relationship as well as showcasing their sewing with Sewing Down South. Thank you, Ms. Connell, art teacher at NCHS, for connecting the school with Sewing Down South.
