Charleston Gaillard Center come to MZES

When you can't go on field trips, they come to you! The Charleston Gaillard Center sent Ms. Stephanie every day for a week to teach both of our second grade classes. They learned the fairy tale Rumpelstitlskin and a fractured version. Some of the many academic focuses were elements of a fairy tale, plot, point of view, and states of matter. Ms. Stephanie was so much fun, they didn't really realize they were learning. Students colored puppets to retell the story on a stage, created bouncy balls, and did Q-tip weaving.
