Solution Symposium

Students in Ms. Farnan's 6th grade ELA class have been researching innovators who positively changed the world. Some of the innovations they have been researching include tracker on a sock for adults with Alzheimer's disease, recycling robots, 3-D printed leather and animal products, 3-D printed clothing, a test for pancreatic cancer, self-healing asphalt, and self-driving cars.

On Tuesday, March 14th, students presented their projects to their peers and other classes/teachers in the library. Students had to explain the problem that the innovators fixed and what their solution was. The students' presentations were rated according to a rubric based on these two questions: How was critical thinking used to solve the problem? What character traits did the innovator show when solving the problem?
