James Island Charter High School controlled the South Carolina High School League AAAA girls' cross country state meet at Newberry College on November 11, 2023, rolling to a 52-point win over second-place Greenville. This is the Trojans' third team state title in four years, and fourth in program history (2012, 2020, 2021, and 2023).

 

All five of the Trojans' runners finished in the top 16 of the race, including senior Hannan Vroon, who won her third individual SCHSL AAAA state championship in four years thanks to her time of 18:51.36.
