Daniel Jenkins Academy is the proud recipient of generous donations
RELEASE DATE: October 3, 2023
Daniel Jenkins Academy (DJA) is the proud recipient of a mural recently painted by a generous anonymous donor. The mural is located in the school’s cafeteria and the focal point of the piece of art is “changing or shifting one’s energy.”
The colors are vibrant and welcoming and inspire students and staff to ponder what motivates them. Sai-Waun Randolph, a former DJA student, inspired the idea for the mural based on a drawing he completed, which was then used by artist Allison Dunavant to construct the mural as it appears today.
“The school community is excited and honored to be adopted by this anonymous donor,” explained Principal Quintella Middleton. “In addition, at the start of last school year, all faculty and staff members were gifted care boxes that were a delight and comfort to us all.”
