James Island Charter girls' chase down AAAA state track and field title

JICHS TRackJames Island Island Charter School's girls' track and field team delivered a dominating performance in the South Carolina High School League AAAA state track meet on Friday at Spring Valley High School, and brought home their first team state title since 2014. The Trojans beat second-place Greenville by 13 points.
 
Student-athletes from JICHS collected six individual/relay state championships and broke three school records as well.

Avery Belk - 800-meter race (2:14.59 - school record)
Tia Lucas - high jump (5'2")  
Hannah Vroon - 1,600-meter race (4:58.24 - school record) and 3,200-meter race (11:15.35)
 
 
Relay
4 x 400 meter - Avery Belk, Tia Lucas, Terri Admore, and Hannah Vroon (3:56.57 - school record)   
4 x 800 meter - M.K. Huddleston, Terri Admore, Avery Belk, and Hannah Vroon (9:45.84)
