Rick Hendrick donates sweatshirts and Thanksgiving meals to C.E. Williams North students

The students of C.E. Williams Middle School – North Campus, are keeping warm this fall thanks to the school’s business sponsor, Rick Hendrick BMW and MINI of Charleston. Every sixth grade Wolverine received a sweatshirt with the school name and logo.

Principal Maite Porter recognized a need for every student to have uniform appropriate outerwear. She reached out to Rick Hendrick and they generously responded.

“The reaction from students was overwhelmingly positive and some even became emotional,” said Porter. “One of our scholars told her teacher that this was the first new piece of clothing that she had ever received.”

The generosity hasn’t stopped there. On November 10, 2021, Rick Hendrick employees dropped off 60 full Thanksgiving meals for families at C.E. Williams.

“We were blown away by this offer to bring joy to our students during the Thanksgiving holidays,” said Porter. “We want to thank Rick Hendrick so much for always thinking of us and treating us so well at C.E. Williams North.”
