Quiana Parler, member of the Grammy-winning band Ranky Tanky, performed along with other musicians for students on Tuesday, November 14th. Parler is a native of Charleston and began her career singing with The Carolina Opry.  In 2003, she appeared on American Idol, which propelled her career as a featured vocalist while on a national tour. Ms. Parler has performed with a number of artists, including Keith Sweat, Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson, and many more.  Their performance included the history of Gullah/Geechee music and people and was a vibrant concert. We are so thankful for such an amazing opportunity!
