West Ashley High Welcomes New Head Girls' Soccer Coach Noah Garrett

Garrett led his team to become SC High School League State Finalists in 2018

Charleston, SC – West Ashley High School has named the 2019 South Carolina Youth Soccer Association’s Girls Coach of the Year, Noah Garrett, as the next head girls’ varsity soccer coach for the spring 2022 season.

Coach Garrett is a high-level soccer coach with more than 20 years of experience and a great record of accomplishment at the club, high school, and professional levels. He currently serves as the technical director at Charleston United Soccer Club (previously the Girls Director of Coaching) and was the former head coach for the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) senior men's team, leading them to their first-ever Southeast Conference final in 2019. Garrett has a U.S. Soccer National B Coaching License (currently a National A License candidate), and is a U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching Instructor for South Carolina.

“We are excited to have Coach Garrett, with his extensive knowledge of player development, step in and lead our girls program at West Ashley High,” said West Ashley High Athletic Director Jeffrey Fipps.

Coach Garrett was named the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association’s (SCYSA) Girls Coach of the Year in 2019. He also previously served as varsity boys head coach at Charleston Charter School for Math and Science (CCSMS), winning a Lower State Championship and was a South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) State Finalist in 2018. He was the 2016 South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association (SCHSSCA) Region Coach of the Year and 2018 CCSMS Coach of the Year. Garrett’s overall record at the school (2015-2018) was 36-14-0.
