Pinckney Institutes the House System

The House System was created at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta and has been duplicated at many schools across the nation.  The purpose of the House System is to promote character, build community within our school, and inspire our students.

On January 17th, students were sorted into Houses in a random fashion.  The four Houses are:  Isibindi, Altruismo, Amistad and Rêveur.  Each House is associated with positive character traits and a specific color. Students will be taught the history and meaning of their House, and they will attend House meetings throughout the year.  Every staff member will also be part of a House.  We are excited to start this new initiative.
