Accessing Temporary Remote Classes

As a result of Day 1 experiences, we are immediately making some school-wide changes to our temporary remote learning. Parents, we are asking for your cooperation.

  1. The grade level links on our website have been eliminated. All teachers will now post Zoom or Google Meet links in their Canvas course. Your child must be ready to access Canvas at 8:30 AM in time for homeroom each day.
  2. All students are required to use their CCSD Chromebook and CCSD email account to access Zoom or Google Meet. Phones or other personal devices may not be used to access your classes.
  3. In order to be admitted to a Zoom or Google Meet, students must have their correct first and last name displayed on their account, and students must be visible in the video. Not doing so will result in a student not being admitted, which means the student will be marked absent. Three unexcused absences in a row or a total of five absences will warrant a truancy meeting on your child.

If you have an accurate email in our system, you received this message as an email. In addition, all families who subscribe to our newsletter received a special edition Tuesday evening, Sept. 8.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this as we continue to maneuver our way through remote virtual learning.
