Mask Update

Mask Update

Charleston County School District’s face mask requirement will expire beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, November 10 in CCSD schools and buildings for students, staff, and visitors. This includes Allegro. We are a small school with limited staff, and we strongly encourage all who are able to be vaccinated and wear masks to ensure our ability to stay open for instruction.

What does this mean here at Allegro?

  • Wearing face masks is strongly encouraged, but will be optional.

  • Face masks will be required when visiting the nurse's clinic.

  • Social Distancing will still be utilized, and failure to comply may be a

    discipline referral.

  • Face masks may be required during high-risk activities where distancing

cannot be maintained. Further guidance will be provided based on the activity.

  • Contact tracing will remain a critical mitigation tool. Fully vaccinated

individuals who do not show symptoms of Covid do not need to quarantine.

  • Please immediately email Nurse Amanda

to inform us if your scholar has tested positive for Covid, your scholar is showing Covid symptoms and you are keeping them home to monitor, or your scholar has been identified as a close contact off campus. Please do not wait until the next school day to let us know.

Allegro administrative staff will continue to monitor the data related to COVID-19. Allegro may need to make changes related to face covering requirements in the future if the level of transmission increases in our school community based on recommendations from DHEC, MUSC, and CCSD. Please reach out with any specific impacts this information has concerning your child. We thank you for all you are doing to keep our school community safe.
