Spirit Night at Wando HS Football Game- September 22

Let's get into the football spirit! JME students get in FREE at Wando High School's home football game on Sept 22nd when they wear their JME spirit wear! (Parents must purchase a ticket)

JME Robotics Team

The FIRST Robotics Team (The Mini-Figures) is looking for 4th & 5th graders interested in learning to solve problems and code. FIRST introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Click on the link to find out more information.

Dot Day- September 15

JME will be celebrating International Dot Day. We are encouraging all students to wear dots to school on Friday, September 15th to celebrate Dot Day!

Spirit Day at Comeback Shack- September 14

Come on back to Comeback Shack for Spirit Night on September 14th! When you grab your lunch or dinner, mention our name and we'll receive a portion of the proceeds. It's an easy and delicious way to support our school!

Open House- September 5

Our first PTA Meeting and Open House will be Tuesday, September 5th at 6pm in the JME Cafeteria. Following a brief meeting in the multi-purpose room, parents will have the opportunity to attend an informational session with teachers.

Gifted and Talented Testing

Every year in grades 3-12, students who have not yet identified as gifted and are showing high academic potential are offered the opportunity to participate in aptitude testing. This year, nominated students in grades 3-5 will test in September in an attempt to allow all children who qualify as Gifted and Talented per SCDE guidelines to begin gifted service as early in the school year as possible. ELA Update: August 2023

First Day of School- August 23

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 23rd! The doors will open at 7:05am. On the first day only, parents will be allowed to walk their children to their classrooms. Please drop your children off quickly and feel free to join us in the cafeteria for our PTA's BOO HOO/YAHOO breakfast.

2023-2024 Instructional Fees

School instructional fees can be paid online using the link provided. These fees will not be accepted at Back to School Event. If needed, teachers will accept cash/check for these fees after school has begun.

Meet the Teacher- August 21

Parents and students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, get answers to questions, purchase JME spirit wear, join PTA and more. In order to decrease the crowds inside and out, the event will be split into 3 sessions, separated alphabetically by last name: Last Name A-H: 2:00-2:45, Last Name I-Q: 2:45-3:30, and Last Name R-Z: 3:30-4:15.
