The Back-to-School Hotline for Charleston County School District (CCSD) returns next week ahead of the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. CCSD staff members will answer calls from families and provide assistance and information to help them prepare for the new school year.

Wando High School FCCLA chapter (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) recently attended the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., from July 4th through July 10th.

CCSD is making its most significant investment to date in evidence-based reading instruction. The district is expanding its partnership with the Lowcountry Literacy Project (LLP) to equip and support 126 additional educators during the 2026–2027 school year.

Doucette brings more than 20 years of executive procurement, strategic sourcing, and public sector contracting experience, with a distinguished career serving educational institutions, government agencies, and municipal organizations.

The Charleston County School District (CCSD) Education Foundation Board of Directors, by unanimous vote, is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Templeton as Interim Executive Director, where she will lead the Foundation through its initial launch and organizational development.

CCSD is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Timisha "TBJ" Barnes-Jones as its new Associate Superintendent of Organizational Development and Innovation, adding one of the nation's most accomplished and innovative educational leaders to its leadership team.
The Charleston County School District (CCSD) has named Judith Condon as Interim Executive Director and will join the Elementary Learning Community Team, effective immediately.
