Hallways and Headlines

Charleston County School District (CCSD) is launching a new monthly podcast, Hallways & Headlines: The CCSD Podcast, designed to give families, employees, students, and community members an inside look at the people, programs, and initiatives shaping public education in Charleston County.

Hosted by Director of Broadcast Communications Andy Pruitt of the CCSD Communications team, Hallways & Headlines will feature candid conversations with district leaders, educators, students, and community partners on topics ranging from academics and school safety to student achievement, innovation, operations, and the issues impacting education both locally and nationally.

The inaugural episode will drop on August 6, 2026, and features Superintendent Anita Huggins, who discusses her vision for the school year, the district's priorities, and why open communication matters.

"One of the best ways to build trust is through honest, ongoing conversation," said Superintendent Anita Huggins. "We're excited to launch Hallways & Headlines as another way to connect with our CCSD family and with audiences beyond Charleston County. Our goal is to provide meaningful, informative discussions that help people better understand the work happening in our schools while creating opportunities to learn from one another."

New episodes will be released monthly and will explore timely topics affecting public education, highlight innovative programs and outstanding educators, answer frequently asked questions, and celebrate the successes of CCSD students and staff.

Hallways & Headlines: The CCSD Podcast is available on the district's YouTube Channel, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts, making it easy for listeners to stay informed wherever they are.

The podcast reflects the district's continued commitment to transparency, community engagement, and keeping stakeholders informed through accessible and authentic conversations.
