Who: Students, parents, community members, and media outlets are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

What: C.E Williams Middle School and Charleston County School District (CCSD) staff members are hosting a “topping off” ceremony to celebrate the construction of the new facility for C.E. Williams. During the event, the final beam will be placed on the structure. Students and staff will sign the beam to commemorate the special day.

School administrators from C.E. Williams, CCSD Board of Trustees members, Constituent District 10 Board of Trustees members, leaders from the District, and City of Charleston representatives are all scheduled to participate in the ceremony.

The 137,227 square-foot, two-story facility will serve a capacity of 900 students, and is scheduled to be completed for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

When: Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.

Where: 3090 Sanders Road, Charleston, SC 29412 (the construction site is near West Ashley High School, so enter on Wildcat Blvd.)
