  • It's Homecoming Spirit Week!!! 

    Homecoming Court Applications eligibility will be confirmed by EOB on Oct 14th.  Campaigning will start Oct. 15th. All court applicants must purchase Spirit Week ban to participate in the activities.  $5 must be paid by Tuesday. 

    Students must comply with CCSD Dress Code policy on Spirit Days.  If ripped jeans are worn, leggings must be worn under them. 

    Wednesday Oct 16:  Jersey/Jeans day
    A Jersey (Hockey, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, basketball, cross country, track) must be worn with jeans, if your student does not have a jersey there is no alternate attire, they must be in their regular school uniform.  "Team colors" is unacceptable. 

    Thursday Oct 17:    Organization Day/Twin Day
    Any campus organization (basketball, cheer, football, wrestling, volleyball, etc.) students are able to wear their gear (wrestling-not the body suit and volleyball-not the shorts). 

    Friday Oct 18: Eagle Pride Day
    An official Homecoming T-shirts or silly socks/hat with red/white camp uniform.  Red shorts must be worn with the variations in shirts and socks.

    6-8th grade students are permitted to run for Homecoming Court. Duke/Duchess of Eagle-they have until end of day Monday, October 15th to turn in their Homecoming Court Applications

    The Military Magnet Academy is a caring school where all cadets are challenged to learn every day.  The Military Magnet Academy prepares students to become competent, disciplined, and responsible citizens by providing the necessary learning environment.  The Military Magnet Academy is committed to student academics, extracurricular activities, and parent and community involvement.   The academic program develops the whole person by providing a foundation for success in today’s world of high technology.

    MMA Uniform Compliance Expectations:

    • Female Cadets:  You are allowed to wear small studded earrings, clear polish or french manicured business style nails, the hairstyle should not be bulky, hang off of the collar and shoulders, be its natural color and fit into the MMA hat properly.
    • Male Cadets: Are not allowed to wear earrings, matted hairstyles, twists, or dreadlocks, only one straight part in hair, and zero facial hair with exception of a neatly trimmed mustache.
    • All cadets: Should wear black calf-high socks, blacks MMA shirts for cadet leaders, white MMA shirt for all other cadets, the official MMA red shorts, and the appropriate grade level hat, and sneakers. If you need a hat please be prepared to purchase one tomorrow morning.
    • No hooded sweatshirts or jackets are allowed on campus.
    • No earbuds, EarPods, or headphones are allowed to be worn on campus.

    In the News

    This past summer Military Magnet STEM Team’s had the opportunity to host and participate in the Apollo Next Giant Leap Student (ANGLeS) Challenge, a national challenge celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission by giving students the chance to recreate the landing using drones and robots. Two of our teams competed against a North Carolina team. I’m pleased to announce that one of our teams won the competition! Our students won the grand prize of a trip to Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas! 
     The Apollo Next Giant Leap Student (ANGLeS) Challenge is a national challenge celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission by giving students the chance to recreate the landing using drones and robots, focusing on making it accessible for underrepresented and underserved communities. NASA’s Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pipeline (NESSP) and NASA South Carolina Space Grant Consortium invites students to enter the Apollo Next Giant Leap Student Challenge — the ANGLeS Challenge. Open to students in grades 5-12 across the United States and territories from school groups to members of youth organizations, the event challenges student teams to recreate the Apollo 11 moon landing using a drone and a LEGO Mindstorm robot.
    Military Magnet will continue to host this event annually every summer!
