James Island Charter High School

School News & Announcements

The JICHS Safe Start Plan details many of the safety measures and guidelines that JICHS is taking should there be any in-person instruction.

On August 17, 2020, the James Board Directors met and approved the motions below. JICHS will begin the school year in a temporary remote instruction mode with no more than 25% of students attending school on a given day. As a default, all students will learn from home or virtually. At this time, the 25% capacity maximum allows us to create learning plans for students with exceptional needs and students who disengaged last spring or have other risk factors. This also allows us to do required MAP testing for all 9th-grade students within the first ten days of school. Again, all other students will begin school in a temporary remote mode.   Click here for additional information.
