Welcome to Jane Edwards Elementary School! 

We are a community school on Edisto Island that serves 4K-6th grade.   

We have one class per grade level, with small class sizes, giving your child individualized attention.

We focus on literacy and STEAM in all content areas and support the South Carolina Academic Standards with rigor.

All teachers and staff are committed to supporting all students toward reaching their APEX. Every student is important to us and we set high expectations in collaboration with Jane Edwards' students, parents, and teachers.

At Jane Edwards Elementary School, in the small, rural community of Edisto Island, we will provide equitable access to resources and opportunities to all students. Our students come from multicultural environments and we recognize that they have a variety of needs. We plan to address these student needs through differentiated instruction and a multi-tiered support model. We will continuously monitor the progress of each student and adjust strategies, as needed. Jane Edwards Elementary welcomes the feedback and input from staff, parents, and community members to support each student.
