CCSD students participated in a paid internship program this summer. The Green Heart Project was able to provide this work-based learning opportunity, live and in-person, despite COVID-19 through their inaugural Youth Internship Program.
State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman is set to visit Matilda F. Dunston Elementary School to meet with school and Charleston County School District (CCSD) staff as well as to tour the facility and learn more about the district’s Safe Restart Plan.
As part of its effort to support staff with children during the 2020-21 return to work, CCSD is offering a cost-free Kaleidoscope, (a fee-based after school and summer child care program) to teachers and staff.
CCSD Office of Nutrition Services will continue to offer meals at eight locations through the rest of the summer break. These eight sites will offer meals, available for pick up, starting Monday, August 10, 2020 through September 4, 2020 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m
