Ms. Lindsay Guthrie
Hello!
My name is Lindsay Guthrie and I am one of the Computer Lab teachers here at Pinehurst. This is my fifth year living in Charleston, SC, and working here at Pinehurst. Before teaching at Pinehurst, I lived, grew up, and taught about 25 miles south of the Washington Monument in Washington, DC. When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, on the boat, at the beach, traveling, or just losing myself in a good book.

Ms. Sarah Zimmerman
Hello!
I have been working at Pinehurst for over 10 years and this is my second home. I am a Reading Interventionist and love to see when our students learn new things! I am from New York and I am always looking for ways to be a better educator. When I am not teaching, I love traveling, a long day at the beach, concerts, and spending time with my husband, son, and daughter. -
Mr. Joseph McGruther
Hello! My name is Joseph McGruther and I have been teaching at Pinehurst Elementary for 5 years. I started teaching as a special education teacher, but after having so much fun teaching 4th grade, it is where I have remained. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, cooking, attempting to bake, and watching documentaries with my hound dog Tod.
I love working here at Pinehurst as I am surrounded every day by dedicated teachers and staff, and by students who are curious, excited to learn, and full of personality. I am extremely honored to have been chosen as Pinehurst Elementary’s Teacher of the Year and I look forward to what this year has to bring!

I'm excited to be teaching first grade at Pinehurst! I grew up in Charleston and currently live on James Island. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2020. This is my third year teaching, but my first year at Pinehurst. I love to listen to music, watch movies, and try new foods when I am not teaching.
