Isabelle Artimage is super excited to be starting her first year teaching at Meeting Street Brentwood! She recently moved to the Charleston area after graduating with her undergrad degree at the University of Cincinnati and joining Teach For America. With the help of Teach For America, she will be starting her Masters program this winter to enhance her skills and grow as an educator. Isabelle loves to write any chance she gets and outside of school, she loves to go to the beach and be active. She is so thrilled to be a part of the Bulldog family!

Mr. Jordan Brown

Jordan Brown is a Charleston native, having been educated in both CCSD and DDTWO. Upon graduating from Fort Dorchester High School, Mr. Brown enlisted into the United States Air Force as Personnelist. Mr. Brown has lived in Mississippi, Texas and Florida throughout the five years he served. After his transition from the armed forces, Mr. Brown embarked upon a new life of service by entering the education system. In addition to serving in education, Mr. Brown is also a licensed minister. Mr. Brown enjoys to cook, bake, listen to music, spend time with his loved ones and friends, and encouraging others to be the best versions of themselves that they can be.

Ms. Brown is excited to return to Brentwood as Bulldog of the Year, Grade Level Chair and Player Coach. She is inspired by her family, friends and students. Mrs. Curtis has over 2 decades of experience working with middle school students and families in a school setting (18 years were spent in a 6th-grade science classroom, two in a leadership/administration/coaching position). Courtney received her B.S in Elementary Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University and her Masters in Education and Education Specialist in Leadership from Capella University. Courtney's hobbies include reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. Daly, Teresa

Nurse

Nurse Teri is a third year school nurse at Brentwood. Prior to Brentwood, she was a nurse at Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital. She obtained her associate's degree from Trident Technical College and her bachelor's in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time golfing, hunting for shark's teeth, and spending time with her family.

Delloue, Thibaut

Associate Director of Operations, Campus

Thibaut is originally from France but spent most of his childhood in the great state of New Hampshire. He began his career in education as an ESOL teacher abroad and in the Boston area and, before coming to Brentwood in 2023, was an Assistant Principal of Operations at a charter school in Nashville, TN. Thibaut also spent five years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, stationed aboard warships in Spain and San Diego. He is excited to serve the Brentwood community and Meeting Street's mission. He enjoys surfing at Folly Beach, reading, cooking, and spending time with his wife Katie.

Druce, Molly

Academic Interventionist

Molly Druce is an academic interventionist at Meeting Street Brentwood. She taught 6th grade at Meeting Street Brentwood last year and Morningside Middle School. Molly received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Virginia. After working as a SCUBA instructor for a couple years she decided to go back to school to be a teacher. She received her M.Ed. in Secondary ELA Education from Vanderbilt's Peabody College. Outside of school, Molly enjoys fishing, seeing live music, and walking with her two pups- Emmylou Harris and Booker T Jones.

Elder, Ellen

Reading Interventionist

Dr. Ellen Elder was born in New York City, raised in Cincinnati, and earned degrees from The University of Chicago, Miami University of Ohio and The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She recently lived for 9 years in Germany where, among other things, she taught English language learners at university. A published poet, Ellen’s interests include spending time with her daughter (age 9), foreign films, trail running, cycling, literary translation and sphynx cats. She likes Brentwood for its dedication to empowering students, including its focus on language and fluency.

Flores, Raquel

Associate Director of Operations, Business

Raquel was born in the Bronx, and grew up in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. She has a background in early childhood education, and taught infants and toddlers with special needs for 5 years before moving to South Carolina. After arriving in Charleston, she taught and mentored at a preschool for 4 years. Raquel received her B.S. from Penn State University in Human Development and Family Studies with a Family Science option. Jayne-Stuart Garber teaches Kindergarten at Meeting Street Brentwood. She was a 2019 Teach for America Corp member who moved to Charleston from Nashville, TN in 2019. Uai Godwin, also known as Kitt, is the Data Manager here at Brentwood. He can assist you with any Powerschool needs. Mrs. Harrell is the Elementary Dean of Culture and works primarily with PK-4th grades. Mrs. Harrell is a native New Yorker. Shyra Hutchinson is a PreK Teacher here at Meeting Street Brentwood. She joined the Meeting Street team at the end of the school year after the past four years on a Head Start program with Charleston County School District. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Voorhees College, which is now Voorhees University, in 2015. After she graduated from college, she started teaching toddlers and infants at a Daycare in Charleston,SC for 3 years. She always had a passion for teaching children. Rebecca obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from North Greenville University. She played on the NGU Women's Tennis Team and enjoyed exploring the mountainous region of the South Carolina upstate. Aveus Johnson teaches first grade at Meeting Street Brentwood. She joined us from Angel Oak Elementary, where she was a Pre-K teacher for two years. Mary Catherine Lancaster serves as Elementary Head of School at Brentwood. She joined the Brentwood team this year after working for the past 10 years in education, serving most recently as the Director of Instruction for a charter network in the Bronx. Originally from Charleston, Mary Catherine earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Spanish from Clemson University. She earned her Master’s Degree from Teachers College at Columbia University as a Reading Specialist. Caroline Martinez has taught upper school math for the past two years at Meeting Street Brentwood. Roger is a dedicated educator who firmly believes that all students can learn and that their wildest dreams can and will become their reality. He is originally from Chesterfield, SC and attended the University of South Carolina Upstate. Roger has worked with students from grades PreK-12 in a variety of roles. He has served as a teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Miss Perez started her career as an early childhood educator, teaching 1st and 2nd grade. Then she was given the incredible opportunity to transition into teaching art. She has invested 32 years in teaching, coaching, and professional development with schools across South Carolina and in Pennsylvania. Pugh, Jermaine

Behavioral Interventionist 

Mr. Pugh is a first year Behavioral Interventionist of the Middle School and Bulldog Prep.  He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to South Carolina with his wife in 2011. He spent 2 years as a mental health tech at a behavioral hospital, and 1 year as a substitute teacher. Before coming to Meeting Street, he worked as team lead of a nearby homeless shelter where he still works in his spare time.  He graduated with a B.A in Psychology and is pursuing a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Christine Ramsey is starting her eighth year at Meeting Street Brentwood as the Occupational Therapist Interventionist. Prior to working at MSB, she was an OT for 4 years in SC public schools. Before focusing on pediatrics, Christine worked in adult rehabilitation for five years in North Charleston and Florence. She received her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina, and her undergraduate study was in Exercise Science at USC. "Ms. Cia" was born in Ecuador and raised in New York City, where she attended Hunter College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Art. She also City College of New York, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Literature and Writing. Ms. Cia has been teaching all subjects and all grades for more than fifteen years. She loves traveling and learning from other cultures. She has visited 26 countries around the world and has lived in Kyoto, Japan; Paris, France; Dubai, UAE; Cairo, Egypt, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Teaching English in all of these countries provided her with the opportunity to meet fascinating people and learn from them as well. Stevee Scott is a native of Kingstree, South Carolina. For the past eight years, she has taught pre-K, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. Seymour, Jessica Zhou

Elementary Music Teacher

Ms. Jessica Zhou Seymour is the first music education undergraduate from Charleston Southern University with a Strings concentration, with cello as her primary. She also teaches the Brentwood Strings Project here at MSB and is the Orchestra Director for Charleston Southern University's Summer Music Camps during the summer time, where she is conducting orchestras with students from 4th grade to 12th grade. In addition to being proficient in violin, viola, cello, and bass, Ms. Seymour has also performed in numerous ensembles at CSU and currently performs in the cello section with the Summerville Orchestra.  In her spare time, she enjoys sight-reading on her instruments, reading new books, finding new restaurants, cooking/baking, and spending time with her canine children, Grinchie and Cindy Lou.

Madelyn attended Penn State University where she studied Human Development and Family Studies. She continued her education through Slippery Rock University to obtain her Master’s in Special Education. She is currently a doctoral student at Slippery Rock University pursuing a doctoral degree in Special Education. My students inspire me to learn as much as possible can to ensure they have everything they need to succeed. My family, friends, and colleagues continue to inspire me to be the best teacher and person I can be. Sierputoski, Hartley

PreK 4 Teacher & PreK Grade Level Chair

Ms. Sierps is a PreK Teacher and team lead at Meeting Street Elementary at Brentwood. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education and Counseling Psychology at Wheelock College in Boston. Hartley is currently finishing her Masters Degree at Boston University in Integrated Elementary and Special Education. Outside of school, Ms. Sierps enjoys spending time with her partner and pets, and being outdoors.

Singleton, Daphne

IT Manager

Daphne Singleton is the IT Manager at Meeting Street Brentwood. She was previously employed with CCSD with 15 years of experience in technology. Daphne received her Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Voorhees College, Denmark, SC. Outside of school Daphne enjoys spending time with her two little princess Zoè (5 yrs old) & Zy’Onne (infant). Zoè is her little dancing machine and the life of any environment she is in. Zy’Onne is our newest little princess who is lovable and full of smiles.

Elementary School Social Worker
 
Mrs. Smalls is a licensed Elementary School Social Worker at Meeting Street Brentwood. She earned her Associates in Science from Denmark Technical College. Mrs. Smalls continued her education, earning her Bachelor's in Social Work  and her Master's in Social Work from Limestone University. When she is not working, Mrs. Smalls enjoys creating memories with her family and friends.

Sykes, Ebony

Middle School Reading Interventionist

Ebony received her Bachelor’s in Human Services and Master’s degree in Community Psychology from Springfield College. In 2013, Ebony started working in the school system and immediately fell in love with helping students reach their highest potential. She later received a Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in special education from Liberty University. Ebony’s two daughters inspire her. During rough days, they constantly remind her of the lives she has impacted and to remember her “why.” Ebony was honored for her hard work and dedication by receiving Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. In Ebony’s spare time, she loves to read, travel, and have game/ movie nights with her family and friends. Her alter ego is a criminal profiler, working for the BAU and starring on Criminal Minds.

Elementary School Counselor 

Ash Talbot is a first year Elementary School Counselor at Meeting Street Brentwood. She was born and raised in East Hampton, CT and moved to South Carolina in 2021. She earned her BS in Psychology at Eastern Connecticut State University and her Masters of Social Work at the University of Connecticut. Prior to working at Meeting Street, Ash worked as an intake coordinator in foster care for two years working with foster children and foster families. Outside of school, she enjoys going to the gym, walks with her dog, reading, and photography!

Wallace, Stephanie

7th Grade ELA Teacher

Dr. Stephanie N.R. Wallace is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia and has lived in Summerville, South Carolina for the past 11 years. Wallace, after being told she would struggle to learn, proved her naysayers wrong and successfully attended and graduated from Louisa County High School with an advanced diploma, Mary Baldwin University; majoring in Arts Management with an emphasis in Music, University of Phoenix; mastering in Teacher Leadership and Instruction, Universal Life Church Seminary School; advancing in Christian Education, and Grand Canyon University; mastering in Early Childhood Education. Dr. Wallace is married to Mr. Wallace, and together they have one son. As a family they love traveling, watching movies, and enjoying time at the beach. Among many things, Dr. Wallace enjoys singing, event planning, trying new foods, reading, writing, and having fun with friends and family. Dr. Wallace is the proud owner of Just Simply Stephanie, LLC. where she designs journals, calendars, clothing, and much more. Dr. Wallace holds many leadership positions in various organizations but values her position as a teacher the most.

Lead Behavior Interventionist

Mrs. Washington is the Lead Behavior Interventionist and a former Third Grade Teacher at Meeting Street Brentwood. She joined the Brentwood team in 2017 after leading an after-school program with CCSD. She received her B.A. in Communications from the College of Charleston where she also minored in Meteorology. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, beach days, and spending time with her family.

Emma Weiss teaches third grade at Meeting Street Brentwood. She joined us from Maryland, where she graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Creative Arts. Outside of school she enjoys yoga, stand up paddle boarding, and going to the beach.

Kindergarten Teacher

Amy Whetstone teaches kindergarten at Meeting Street Brentwood. She was born and raised in Hollywood, SC, but spent some time in Rock Hill, SC where she attended Winthrop University and went on to get her Masters in Elementary Education from Wingate University. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children, Kylay, Jude, and Brantley.

Williams, Anna

Behavior Interventionist

Anna Williams is our Pre-K- 1st grade Behavior Interventionist at Meeting Street Brentwood. Anna is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she served as a Therapeutic Group Leader at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. While in this position, she provided intensive mental health treatment to children ages 3 to 8 in a classroom setting. Anna received her B.S. in Social Work from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Outside of work, Anna enjoys painting, long boarding, and going to the beach with her dog!

Kindergarten Teacher

Ciara Wood teaches kindergarten at Meeting Street Brentwood. She is originally from Newnan, Georgia and moved to Charleston in 2016. Ciara received her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish, and her Masters degree in Teaching and Learning, both from Clemson University. Outside of school, Ciara loves to cook, read, spend time with friends and family and do anything outdoors.
