• Welcome to the Academic Magnet Foundation! Our mission, put simply, is to enhance the long-term excellence of Academic Magnet High School. Working closely with PIE (Partners in Education), the Foundation supports leading-edge enrichment opportunities that ensure the school’s high standards for quality, achievement and stewardship for years to come. Key initiatives funded by AMF include new student transition programs, professional development for teaching excellence, and school awareness and diversity efforts. Specifically, AMF fully funds the Summer Scholars program for new students, supports AP Capstone training for teachers, and coordinates the highly successful Advancing Charleston Excellence (ACE) program to recruit and mentor high-performing students from high-poverty index Charleston middle schools.

Our annual fall fundraising campaign is underway! Maintaining the excellence of AMHS in this challenging climate requires teamwork, creativity, and resilience. While many school programs around the country have been placed on hold, Magnet is committed to finding creative and sustainable ways to move forward. To that end, we’re asking you to help support this year’s Campaign, Thanks for Giving 2020: RAPTOR RESILIENCE. Our goal is to raise $50,000 between now and December 31st. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will be used to support proven, ongoing programs and several urgent needs for innovation.
