    Interested in a career in Commercial Real Estate?

    U-CREW: THE ANATOMY OF A COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE DEAL
     
    Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW- http://www.crewcharleston.com/) will be holding a virtual training for ALL students interested in pursuing a career in the Commercial Real Estate industry.  As you see from the flyer, that includes a number of professions to include Attorneys, Appraisers, Bankers and Property Managers to name a few. The panelists will discuss what their role is to close a commercial real estate transaction.  

    The event is virtual and will be held Wednesday November 10th at 4pm and we hope to be able to present it to as many students interested in possibly obtaining a career in commercial real estate, or any of the paths that support the real estate transaction.  This is open to all students, all districts.

    Teen Science Ambassador program
     
    The Teen Science Ambassador program is an internship offered by the Youth Collaborative for individuals from groups that are underrepresented in STEM and have a passion for science. Ambassadors will join our team for weekly meetings at the Medical University of South Carolina, located in downtown Charleston. This program is possible through the Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
     
    Ambassadors will be provided with dinner, travel assistance, and compensation.
     
    Must be at least 16 years old , and in the 10th or 11th grade.

    NUCOR Technical Academy

    They are offering a 3 year full scholarship to a specific college for job related education as well as housing and other expenses.

    AND, ~ $80K annual salary to start after completion!!!

    • Have a High School GPA of 2.75 or above.

      • Complete and submit Student Information Sheet (please reference NSBC or Nucor Berkeley on the sheet along with Shelton State ID #)
      • Submit High School Transcript and SAT/ACT/Compass Scores to Nucor and Shelton State.
      • Send a one-page essay to Nucor Berkeley.
      • Submit a resume
    4. Take the Willingness Questionnaire through the online application

    SCRUBS “U” features quarterly evening sessions concentrating on specific areas of health careers. Each program offers an exciting glimpse into a medical field.

    Scrubs Health Summer Careers Camp - activity-filled week offering students who have an interest in health careers an opportunity to explore nursing & medical careers. Check the wesbite for the dates.

    SCRUBS Mentoring Program - allows students on medical career tracks the opportunity to work along with staff at the bedside in a mentored role. The program is designed for pre-nursing, MD and PA career track students.
