3rd year high school students will take a career readiness assessment. WIN Ready to Work is the most recent assessment and students have the opportunity to earn a Career Readiness Certificate that can be used after high school and college when entering various career fields.

Charleston County Department of Public Safety Student Leadership and Intern Program
Provides students who have completed their junior year with the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship to learn about the Public Safety department within Charleston County while providing them with the opportunity to obtain future employment within the 9-1-1 service, emergency medical services, or fire department.
Pays $16.30 an hour for six (6) weeks
The program began this past summer. Students received training in basic life skills, stop the bleed and CPR from EMS and the students assigned to the 9-1-1 Center achieved certification from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch for attending and passing the Emergency Telecommunicators Certification course. Upon completion of the program, students received a certificate of attendance with a record of their hours
TEENTOKS VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP
TeenToks Virtual Internship is running June 12 - July 14, 2023.
TeenToks, a mental health app for teens & tweens, late last year. TeenToks features hundreds of teen-made videos on stress management, peer pressure, body image, and more. They are passionate about ending the stigma around mental health.
They are hiring for content creation and marketing internship positions. If you’re a teen or know a teen who is passionate about mental health, has a knack for digital creation, and wants some real-life work experience, then this internship is for you!
BOEING SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Boeing's Summer Internships are now open. They will have internship opportunities at the following locations.1.) Boeing Interiors Responsibility Center –North Campus on Patriot Blvd. in Ladson
2.) Boeing Final Assembly –Airport Campus on International Blvd., North Charleston
Student Participation Requirements:
- Rising seniors on track to graduate in June 2024
- Above 80 average in all classes, educator recommendation form, and current resume
- Reliable transportation & availability throughout the summer
- Course Credit: 120 hours minimum of work, weekly journals on experiences, and 2 supervisor reviews
Students will be interviewed May 4 - 5, 2023COFC STUDIO ART SUMMER IMMERSION (SASI) PROGRAM
Studio Art Summer Immersion (SASI) at the College of Charleston is a unique, two-week intensive summer program offering local high school juniors and seniors with a strong demonstrated interest in studio art exposure to college-level studio art foundation classes. Students will get experience working with local artist educators to produce works in mediums focused on drawing, painting, digital photos, and mixed media. Students walk away with portfolio-quality work and images for their college application and personal use. The program is centered on providing college-bound students with a dynamic summer experience in an arts-focused college setting, including outings and visits to local galleries and museums.

SCRUBS "U" Career Sessions
SCRUBS “U” features quarterly evening sessions concentrating on specific areas of health careers. Each program offers an exciting glimpse into a medical field.Scrubs Health Summer Careers Camp - activity-filled week offering students who have an interest in health careers an opportunity to explore nursing & medical careers. SCRUBS Mentoring Program - allows students on medical career tracks the opportunity to work along with staff at the bedside in a mentored role. The program is designed for pre-nursing, MD and PA career track students.
