    How to Apply

    Allegro followed the CCSD School Choice Application process for the 2020-2021 school year. This school choice process closed on February 28th. We have opened the paper application process as of June 1 2020. These applications are for WAITING LIST SPOTS and will be added to the waiting list in order they are received. If you missed the application process, and would like to apply, please download this application and return via email to enrollment@allegrocharterschool.org. We will not be taking any in-person applications at this time due to COVID-19 and social distancing protocols. 

     

     

    Studnets who Accept an Offered Seat

    Once a student has accepted an offered seat at Allegro, families will have 10 business days to turn in the requried documentation for enrollment. All documentation must be emailed to the main office (enrollment@allegrocharterschool.org) by a parent or legal guardian of the student and all documentation must be turned at once. Parents/guardians of accepted students will receive an email with this information to the email address listed on the school choice application. 

     

    Required documentation includes: 

    • Two proofs of residency, one from each category below
      • Category 1: Residence Verification
        • If property is rented, a copy of the signed and dated lease is requried.
          • If a lease was not provided or required by the property owner at the tie of occupancy, a singed, notarized, and dated statement from the property owner verifying that the parent/guardian and the student are domiciled at the stated address is required. 
          • If the lease has expired or will expire before the first day of attendance, an updated lease or a singed, notarized, and dated statement from the property owner verifying that the parent/guardian and the student are domiciled and the stated address is required. 
        • If property is owened, a copy of the most recent property tax bill (not auto) with parent/guardian as owner is required. 
          • if the property is owned and the buyer has not yet received a tax bill, a mortgage statement or HUD-1 Settlement Statement can be accepted. 
        • If property is being bought or built, a copy of the ratified contract for sale with the date of closing including the buyer and seller or a copy of the raitifed contract for construction. 
      • Category 2: Official Mail Verification
        • Electric of gas bill
        • Water bill
        • Phone bill (not cell phone)
        • Cable bill
        • Car registration (NOT driver's license)
        • Pay stub (must show employer's name & current pay period, name and address of the parent/guardian)
        • Local, state, or federal agency correspondence that reflects the name and address of the parent/guardian (Social Security, Medicaid, DSS, IRS, food stamps, court documents, etc.)
        • ENVELOPES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE
      • Special Cases: For the parent/guardian and student who live with someone else in their home:
        • The parent/guardian must
          • provide the Affidavit of STudent's Domicile
          • provide two documents from Category 2 showing his/her name at that address
        • In addition, the person with whom the parent/guardian and the student are living must
          • sign the Head of Household section on the Affidavit of a Student's Domicile OR submit a notarized letter stating that the parent/guardian and student currently reside at the address in question
          • provide the requried documents from Categories 1 and 2
    • Birth Certificate
    • Immunization Record
    • If applicable, Legal Guardianship paperwork or custody paperwork that is on file with The Clerk of Court. 
    • If applicable, IEP or 504 Information (to assist us in scheduling)
    • Latest Report Card or Progress Report
    • Discipline Record

     

    Families must also complete the registration process. This process is tentatiely set to open up on June 8, 2020. You can find more information and access the registration portal by using the application and registration portal that was used during the school choice application process. 

     

    If a family has accepted a seat, but submitted a paper applicaiton you can access the registration information and portal by using this link
