Information about Early College
ECHS is a partnership between Charleston County School District and Trident Technical College (TTC). Students who attend ECHS go to school on TTC’s Palmer Campus, Downtown. They have the privilege of experiencing a college setting and attending real college courses in a small, personalized learning community. ECHS opened three years ago and has demonstrated excellence since its opening.
This is an exciting opportunity! Your child will be able to take free college classes while in high school in the ECHS program. Students spend ninth grade focusing on high school courses while mastering the life and organizational skills required for success in college. When they demonstrate they are ready, students take college classes with the support of their ECHS teachers and counselors in an encouraging environment in their sophomore year and beyond.
Please visit our website or Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/
CCSDECHS/) page for more information about these events. In addition to these upcoming family engagement events, we will be visiting middle schools in CCSD to talk with students.
