Dr. Robert L. Perrineau, Jr.I greet you with a great sense of humility and honor as the principal of the Military Magnet Academy. As a native Charlestonian, I am truly fortunate to share my experiences and give back to the city and school district that has provided me the educational foundation that affords me the opportunities I have been blessed with.I received my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, Florida, and my Master of Education degree from Southern Wesleyan University Central, South Carolina. Additional graduate studies allowed me to obtain an Educational Specialist and Doctoral degree in School Administration and Leadership from Argosy University, Sarasota FL.My professional career in education began as a middle and high school mathematics teacher after completing three engineering externships with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). From the first year to the present, my philosophical approach to education is rooted in the belief that everything we do in schools must be in the best interest of children. It is with this understanding that I believe my purpose is nothing less than molding students into leaders and contributing members of our future global society.
