The Security and Emergency Management (S&EM) team works every day to create a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors on Charleston County School District property.  The S&EM team is made up of dedicated professionals from backgrounds such as law enforcement, emergency management, corrections, military, and school support.

In addition to supporting school operations during the day, the S&EM team works with school staff, site coordinators, Athletic Directors, and public safety partners to create safe after-school programs and events.  The S&EM team also utilizes 24/7 personnel to watch over the district's 120 facilities and properties across an area that spans over 1,000 square miles.
