Work Related Injuries that Occur at a School Location
- For any work-related injury that occurs within the scope of your job duty, no matter how slight, you must notify your immediate supervisor and you are required to go see the school nurse on the date the injury occurred.
- If you desire medical attention, you are required to call the PAI Nurse 24/7 Triage Line at (866) 481-3970 to report the injury and complete an incident report with the registered nurse on the phone before receiving treatment.
- The registered nurse on the phone will refer you to a CCSD-authorized medical facility or provide self-care instructions.
- In the event of an emergency, your supervisor or the school nurse will call 9-1-1 and then call the PAI Nurse Triage Line to obtain medical authorization for your work-related injury at the nearest emergency facility.

- For any work-related injury that occurs within the scope of your job duty, no matter how slight, you are required to notify your immediate supervisor on the date the injury occurred.
- You supervisor will provide you with the PAI Nurse 24/7 Triage Line number at (866) 481-3970 and will complete the Accident/Incident Report found at this link: Accident-IncidentReport3.pdf and send it to Tammy Harrison via email at tammy_harrison@charleston.k12.sc.us.
