Beanstack and Reading Promotion
CCSD is committed to improving students’ literacy skills and our school library programs support these efforts in many ways. Through relevant instruction and engaging collections, our librarians promote reading and learning.
All students and teachers have access to Beanstack (in Clever) which is a platform that tracks and celebrates all the time and ways that students are reading. Whether it’s a novel read in class, a book read on the bus, a graphic novel, an audiobook, or an online article, all reading counts! Beanstack helps make reading visible and marks milestones with badges and certificates. It also allows students to participate in district-wide reading challenges like our 20,000,000 Minute Challenge and other contests at the school level.
