Operations
The Operations Division oversees the infrastructure, logistics, and support services that keep CCSD's campuses running day-to-day. Our mission is to deliver a 21st-century learning environment through the "brick and mortar" work of the Capital Programs Department.
Our core departments/areas of responsibility include:
- Capital Programs – manages large-scale construction, renovation, and recapitalization projects (funded largely through the district's one-cent sales tax).
- Facilities Management/Maintenance – responsible for clean, functional, and comfortable school spaces.
- Nursing Services – promotes healthy students and healthy schools.
- Nutrition Services – provides nutritious school meals while educating students on lifelong healthy eating habits.
- Planning and Real Estate – handles scholar (enrollment) forecasting and efficient use of the district's more than 9 million square feet of facilities.
- Security/Safety and Emergency Management – maintains a safe and secure learning environment across campuses.
- Transportation – provides safe and timely bus service to and from school.
- Athletics - supports safe and competitive high school sports programs across the district
