Educator Certification

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) and Charleston County School District (CCSD) require all district and school professional staff members to hold the appropriate credentials for their positions in accordance with State Board of Education Regulation 43-300.
Educators are responsible for maintaining a valid, current teaching certificate and ensuring that certification information remains accurate and up to date. CCSD employees should provide a copy of their current certificate to their principal and regularly review their certification information through the My SC Educator Portal.
