South Carolina Performance Tasks Assessment (SC-PTA)

Students in grades 2-5 who were eligible for the SC-PTA were assessed in late February/early March.

SC-PTA score reports / GT status notifications are being distributed to families of students who tested

in two ways: email and paper.

  • GT status notification emails were distributed to all families on 5/21/25 from ccsdschools@charleston.k12.sc.us.
    • The body of the email will address your child's status notification.
    • The attachment of the email will be your child's data profile that shows ALL scores for all assessments related to the GT identification process.
    • Contact the GT Office (gtacademic@charleston.k12.sc.us) if you have questions about this email.
  • Paper score reports will be sent by schools via their typical home to school folder communication by the last day of school.
    • Contact your child's school if you do not receive or have questions about the paper copy.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE SC GT IDENTIFICATION PROCESS IS ONGOING AND THAT

ALL DATA HELPS PAINT A PICTURE OF YOUR CHILD'S UNIQUE STRENGTHS

AND TALENTS REGARDLESS OF THE STATUS ACHIEVED.
