Classified Recruitment FAQ

What are classified positions?

Classified positions refer to hourly and salaried roles within the school district that are non-teaching positions. These positions support the day-to-day operations of schools and departments, including administrative and instructional support, maintenance, food service, financial services, leadership opportunities, and many other essential services.

How do I apply for a classified position with CCSD?

For current classified employment opportunities, visit AppliTrack regularly. If you have questions, contact a Classified Recruitment Specialist for guidance.

Do classified candidates have to attend a recruitment event?

No. Classified recruiting events offer a valuable opportunity for school and department administrators to meet and assess candidates. These events help determine if a candidate's skills match the needs of the school or department.  For current classified employment opportunities, visit AppliTrack regularly. If you have questions, contact a Classified Recruitment Specialist for guidance.

What if I am unable to attend recruitment events or need special accommodations?

If you cannot attend recruitment events or need special accommodations, contact a Classified Recruitment Specialist to discuss your situation. The Specialist will work with you to explore alternative ways to complete the application process and make necessary arrangements based on your needs.

Am I allowed to contact Principals or Department Heads directly?

Yes. You must complete the AppliTrack application and upload all required documents before contacting Principals or Department Heads. After applying and having your application reviewed by the appropriate Recruitment Specialist, you may reach out to Principals or Department Heads to express interest in specific vacancies.
