Strategic Plan

Charleston County School District is just the beginning of a bright future for many in the community, and we want your help to shape what comes next.

The graduating Class of 2026 reached an amazing milestone with more than 3,100 graduates who earned over $106 million dollars in scholarships. This couldn’t have been done without the commitment of students, families, and the community. bgkgvkfvgk

Now, we are looking ahead and asking everyone across the county to take the 2027- 2032 District Goals Survey. Riding on the success of the plan developed after the 2021 survey, this current survey seeks input to help guide the District’s priorities and initiatives for the next five years.

So far, we’ve seen tremendous success with the plans put in place during the 2022 - 2023 school year. In fact, over the last five years, CCSD outshone the state in areas such as literacy and career- and/or college-readiness. Superintendent Anita Huggins highlighted our success during the June 8th Committee of the Whole Board Meeting

As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we are asking the community to help shape the next five years by completing the 2027- 2032 District Goals Survey.

The district will also host a series of Strategic Planning Community Conversations to hear directly from stakeholders.
