2022 Teacher of the Year Banquet

On May 10, 2022, Charleston County School District staff honored the 2020 and 2021 school Teachers of the Year with a banquet at the Charleston Gaillard Center. The 2020 CCSD Teacher of the Year, Lakevia Mills of St. John's High School, and 2021 CCSD Teacher of the Year, Adam "A.J." Barns of West Ashley High School, addressed the room and delivered heartfelt speeches.The crowd also watched videos celebrating the Top Five Finalists from each of the past two school years and listened to remarks from district leaders like CCSD Board of Trustees Chair Rev. Dr. Eric Mack and Interim Superintendent of Schools Don Kennedy.
