My child is enrolled in Virtual or Temp Remote this year, do I still have to come to Schedule & Supply Pick Up?
Yes. All students need to come through on September 1st or 2nd so can verify that you have paid the required fees and filled out the necessary forms. They will also need to pick up textbooks or classroom materials for courses they are enrolled in this semester.
-
How long will the process take when I come pick up my child's schedule?
We are doing all that we can to make the pick up process as efficient as possible for all of our students and their families. We are asking that everyone be patient and work with us during this time. Keep in mind, even though we are doing this in a drive thru manner it will not be a 10 minute process. It will take time to verify all of the information and get everyone their schedule and the materials needed for their assigned courses. Note: That is why it is essential that all families pay fees and fill out their forms ahead of time to help speed up the process both days.

What does a student's Activity Fee cover?
The Student Activity Fee is needed to cover the cost of virtual and classroom settings for all students. The fee will provide materials and supplies for Math, Social Studies (excluding AP classes), English, World Languages, Physical Education, and Science (excluding Dual Credit and AP classes) courses. It will also cover the cost of each student's initial ID badge / lanyard and student incentives throughout the year.

How do I know if my child owes anything from a previous year?
Login to your Parent Portal account HERE to see if your child owes any fees. All fees must be paid in order to pick up your child's schedule.
-
What do I have to do in order to pick up my child's schedule?
The Student Activity fee and any past due fees MUST be paid in order to pick up your child's schedule. Families should also fill out the two (2) Google forms linked under Step 3 in the Schedule & Supply Pick Up section on our website. We ask that you do both of these steps BEFORE arriving to campus on one of the Schedule & Supply Pick Up dates. Any textbooks, chromebooks, or other similar items that were checked out to your child MUST be returned before they can pick up their schedule.

I would like to change my child's schedule. Is this even a possibility?
It is important to know that we are limited to class space and size for in person (remote if in person is temporarily activated) or in a virtual setting.
Legitimate reasons to request a schedule change:
- Because a student has already taken and passed the course
- Because the student was placed in a course for which they have not taken/passed the prerequisite course
- Because the student has an unscheduled period – (open block without a course)
- Failed course and course is needed to meet graduation requirements for June 2021
- Course needed for graduation not listed on schedule and has not received an email assigned school counselor to register for the course through VirtualSC
- Because a student is classified as grade 12 in PowerSchool. The student can drop a first or fourth block class not needed for graduation to add late in or early out. Please note: schedules will not be rearranged to accommodate this request, only a course dropped to add late in or early out will be honored.
- Schedule requests and changes are ONLY completed during the drop/add timeframe in accordance with the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy (SCUGP).
Reasons a schedule change request will not be reviewed:
- If a student requested a class or elective, and wishes to change their schedule. Classes are created based on course selections added in semester two of last school year.
- If you select an AP course and now want to drop it, it will most likely not happen.
- If you requested an AP course or any specific course and you were not scheduled for that class, please be aware the course was either not offered or not able to fit in your schedule.
- Classes that appear on your schedule and students did not request were based on availability in the student’s schedule.
