The Attendance Clerk is located in the Main Front Office.

Students can be signed out before 2:15.  Students can be picked up in the car rider line after 2:15.  

No. Phone calls can not be made to excuse an absence.  An excuse document is needed to excuse an absence. 

Students will only be released to their legal parent/guardian or someone listed on their school documents.  State issued identification is required from anyone signing a student out and the student must be signed out prior to leaving the school grounds.  It is against our school policy to release a student via telephone or email. 

A state issued ID and the most recent custody papework, if needed.  

Your excuse(s) need to be turned into the Attendance Clerk in the front office by the end of the last lunch. 

Excuses must be turned in to the attendance office no later than 3 days after the absence. 

Excuses need to be legible and are only valid for the date(s) stated in the excuse.  All excuses must contain the following information:

i. Date(s) of absence

ii. Name of student in print as it appears on the permanent record

iii. Reason for absence

iv. Legal signature of parent or guardian

v.  A daytime contact phone number to be used for verification purposes

Request to give permission for a student to leave early needs to be turned into the front office to the attendance clerk before 1st period is over to allow time for the request to be verified.  

Yes. Any time you miss school an excuse is needed to excuse the absence. 

Yes. If you are leaving campus you will need to sign out. 

Students can check their attendance through PowerSchool.

Parents can check their child's attendance through the Parent Portal. 

10 is the limit on parent notes.  Any parent notes turned in after the 10th note is considered an unexcused absence. 

If you have 3 consecutive absences or 5 total absences then you are considered truant. 

High school students will be counted absent for a full period if they miss more than half of the class period.
