    Screening Procedures



    Early College High School is designed  to provide a  four-year college pathway to students who are traditionally underrepresented at four-year universities. 

     

    First Level Screening:

     

    Students must meet minimum criteria on the 8th grade winter MAP tests:  *Math RIT 225 and *MAP Reading/Lexile Score of 900 are a first level consideration.

    Scores from winter administration of the 8th grade year are considered.

     

    *Only MAP scores from in-person winter MAP test administration in the 8th-grade year are considered.

     

    Second Level Screening:

     

    Grades 20%

    SC Uniform Grading Scale GPA, determined by 8th Grade Semester 1 Core Academic Classes:, which include Math, Science, English, and Social Studies

     

    Attendance 20%

     

    Discipline 20%

     

    First Generation College Student Status 20%

     

    Other Special Circumstances (at-risk factors) 20%




    *Note: This program is designed for students achieving in the middle quartiles.
