Hello, Allegro Community! 

Giving Tuesday, November 29th, is right around the corner. 

This year, on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022, Allegro is part of a call to action that will make history. We are celebrating a global day of giving – when charities, families, businesses, community centers, students, retailers, and more will all come together for #GivingTuesday –a movement to celebrate giving and kick off the holiday giving season.  Instead of giving a gift to a friend, co-worker, or family member that might go unused, consider donating in their honor or make a donation yourself as part of Giving Tuesday.

I am a senior at Allegro Charter School of Music, which prepares students in grades 6-12 for the pursuit of creative work in any field, using music as a medium to inspire and foster creativity, coupled with a strong academic program. My senior capstone project is focused on getting the word out about the wonderful programs that Allegro holds - programs that can only be accomplished with help from days like #GivingTuesday! 

Allegro provides a musically-infused curriculum across all subjects, where our students benefit from: small class sizes, project-based learning, guest artist performances and numerous instruments and one-to-one technology for each student. These programs and initiatives are unique in the local area, setting us apart from other schools and programs. In addition, students at Allegro come from all over Charleston County, including suburban, urban, and rural areas, creating a truly diverse community where music is the equalizer.

Last year, more than $300 million was raised in over 150 countries that came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. I’m asking you to please join the #GivingTuesday movement. Please consider giving to Allegro Charter School of Music this November 29th.
